EdgeWorks adapts for changing work environments
June 12, 2017
High Point, NC – June 2017 – Flexible enough to expand and contract, adapting to ever changing work environments, DARRAN’s newest collection “EdgeWorks” is an optimal solution for open office environments, private offices and conference areas.
Introduced at NeoCon, the design takes its name from the refined profile of the steel leg. The sharp and unhampered leg is designed to give different dimensions and appearances from many angles.
As your team evolves, EdgeWorks can easily expand or contract to various top sizes with interconnecting rails that adjust to reconfigure the overall footprint, while legs can be positioned for inner or outer placement. Additional rails for touchdown ends are available to add meeting spaces for workstation users. The concept is based around flexibility using as few components as possible, yet achieving endless configurations.
Neat thinking allowed integrated cable management to run power and data through the hollow steel legs with ample capacity to be discretely housed and managed. Wire baskets secure to the underside of tops with clips enabling easy adjustment of wires when necessary. At its best, technology is integrated and even invisible.
Bright ideas allow the metal frame and accessories to be available in an array of colors, coordinating with interior or corporate brand standards. Center mounted accessories include a binder holder, paper tray and paper sorter for individual organization. Central and interpersonal privacy screens allow separation between users when most needed.
Clamp on worksurface power mounts to EdgeWorks tops, perfect for charging desktop devices and available in USB and plug configurations. Die cast spacer blocks align worksurfaces, mounting to the top of the leg and serving as a support for tablet accessories.
EdgeWorks was designed by ThinkingWorks Design Studio, a design team that takes curiosity to new heights, finding solutions to design exceptional furniture.
